10/7/2024 Board Brief
Dear Laurel and Magnolia Residents,
Let’s jump right into this week’s updates! We understand that many of you have questions regarding the ongoing painting project and parking arrangements. We’d like to take this opportunity to provide you with the most up-to-date information.
As you know, we are in a period of flux and transition. The Board is working diligently to make decisions that will ultimately enhance the quality of our community. However, we are also managing a range of vendor-related issues. Each week, we are making progress, but meetings, interviews, and contract finalizations do require time.
Please know that we are fully committed to maintaining transparent communication and ensuring that you are informed throughout this process.
Paint and Construction
We are continuing our efforts to ensure the paint and construction project, in partnership with PacWest, progresses as smoothly as possible. For those unable to attend last week’s Zoom planning meeting, we’ve outlined the key takeaways below.
Your Vote Matters!
We value your input and encourage all residents to participate in selecting the new color schemes for the Magnolia community. You can review the proposed color palettes and vote online by visiting our community website: www.LaurelMagnoliaHOA.com. Voting will close on Tuesday, October 8th at midnight. We also invite you to view the painted color samples in person at 2521 Antlers Way (side patio wall), where you will also find rendering boards to be displayed throughout the week.
Please refer to our website for all future scheduling updates. A numbered map of the Magnolia community, along with the corresponding paint schedule, will be available for your convenience this coming week.
Starting today, PacWest will begin work on Building 51 with stucco repairs and power washing. Trellis work will begin throughout the neighborhood.
When your building is scheduled for work, kindly take a few steps to prepare:
Remove all outdoor decorations.
Ensure all windows and window coverings are securely closed, as PacWest will be power washing the entire building, including balconies and windows.
Remove or cover any belongings on your balconies to allow PacWest access for power washing and painting.
You will receive a 5-day notice posted on your garage door prior to the start of work on your building, followed by a 48-hour reminder notice. Please use these notifications as prompts to make the necessary preparations.
Additionally, PacWest will secure approximately eight parking spaces on Antlers Way and Sentinel Lane to store equipment and lifts for the duration of the project.
Parking
We recognize that parking is a topic of concern for many residents. The Board is actively working to address these concerns and has scheduled meetings this week with potential parking enforcement companies, Parking Squad and Parking Boss, to explore solutions that best fit our community’s needs. We are optimistic that one of these services will offer an effective solution.
Please remember that all residents are required to park their vehicles inside their garages (with the exception of additional and oversized vehicles displaying a paid resident pass). Once parking enforcement is fully implemented, residents who are not in compliance will need to find alternative off-site parking or risk a citation or tow.
Thank you for your attention, cooperation, and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at info@LaurelMagnoliaHOA.com.
Also, don’t forget to join us for our monthly board meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00 PM.
