Dial-In: 669-444-9171
Purpose: explain the CC&R ballot and how proposed changes would financially benefit homeowners plus Q&A
The board meeting will immediately follow the town hall. No need to dial back in.
Our CC&Rs were written over 15 years ago. They create an undo financial burden and don’t reflect the governing norms of modern HOAs. It currently requires the approval of 67% of homeowners to change the CC&Rs; many HOAs have decreased to 51%.
Amending the CC&Rs would give the community the flexibility it needs to make important updates more efficiently and keep our governing documents aligned with current realities. One example is insurance costs. If the HOA had the ability to change the CC&Rs, our insurance policy would have cost over $260,000 less.
Caring for Our Community
We’re incredibly fortunate to live in a neighborhood with great amenities—from our spa and pool to the firepit and gathering areas. These spaces are meant to bring us together, and it takes all of us working as a team to protect and maintain them. Lately, we’ve seen a few challenges at the jacuzzi and firepit that we’d like your help addressing. Click here to learn how you can help keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Public Safety Call to Action
Although the HOA is not responsible for city streets, we are aware that gas is being siphoned and vehicles are being broken into regularly. It’s inexcusable that the city has time to ticket vehicles on Boulderidge but not police it. The only way the Sheriff will continue to patrol Boulderidge is if dozens of residents regularly call the non-emergency number 858.565.5200 to request it. When a handful of the same people call, they don’t believe we have a legitimate problem. Please do your part and help us make Boulderidge a safe place to park!
About Us
At Laurel & Magnolia, we believe in the power of caring for our property and supporting our community. We’re committed to addressing important issues like neighborhood safety, construction management, property maintenance and insurance. Initially, we were simply volunteers, residents like you, dedicated to improving our neighborhood. In late 2023, we created this website to keep homeowners and renters informed and connected during a time of significant change when proactive involvement was crucial. Now, as your Board of Directors, officially elected in August 2024, we remain committed to our mission of fostering progress and enhancing our community's well-being through collaboration and support.
